My life the last few week has been rather dull. A couple weeks ago we had a ward valentine's party. It actually turned out to be fun. Basically the guys in the ward made dinner for us. The next day after church someone left me a bunch of valentines stuff on my car. It really was SO nice and it totally made my day.

The following weekend we had a ward basketball night. It was actually kind of depressing because I couldn't make a basket to save my life. I don't know if that has ever happened to anyone else, but it is so frustrating! The night ended well though because a girl in the ward had an asthma attack so I just sat and talked with her for the rest of the night. It was fun because i know some stuff about asthma and it was also cool because then I didn't have to play basket ball anymore.

This is the first unit that I've actually not enjoyed the topics discussed in class. This section has been about geriatrics. Not that I don't like old people/the elderly, I just don't want to spend all my time with them. I know that makes me sound like an awful person, but it's the truth.

So my first geriatric lecture started with this youtube clip...it made me smile...

Good things to come

So, I have a confession to make. I hate Saturdays. I hate them because they are the least productive day for me. I always go to bed on Fridays with good intentions of waking up and being super productive the next day, but inevitably something comes up and I don't end up finishing the checklist that I made the night before. So this morning I woke up and I was feeling the Saturday blah-ness and then I watched this video. Now I know that my situation is very superficial and trivial, but more than that, this video clip just reminded me of how absolutely wonderful this gospel is! It truly is a gospel of hope and happiness and I'm so blessed to have it in my life.
The video is called Good things to Come. It is actually a Mormon Message...enjoy...

Holla!

So I got this email from my professor today and it made me smile...

Holy crap, Betsy!

I haven't seen a 100% raw test score on ANYTHING in Clin Med for the past 2 years! Either you think like I do (scary thought), or you really knew this stuff.

Good job!

:)Dr. Hadley

The sad part is I really don't feel like I know that much, but I guess you fake it till you make it...or something like that.
